Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD is a mental health disorder. The person suffering from ADHD can be expected to be hyperactive. The second issue of the Diagnostic and statistical manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), 1968 noted the problem. The third issue renamed the disorder as ADD- Attention Deficit Disorder. But many believed hyperactivity was not a common symptom which made the ADD to be classified as with and without hyperactivity. The revised version of DSM in 1987 gained the proper terms for the disorder as ADHD; Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

ADHD among children

The disorder can widely seem among children of younger age. With growing knowledge and known symptoms about the disorder; many parents consulted with doctors regarding their son/ daughter inability.   • Combined type (Hyperactive/ Impulsive/ Inattentive) – This is the most common form of ADHD found in children. Children should hyperactive-ness with low attention from people surrounded by them. They can be impulsive at times.

Drugs for Children

ADHD in Adults

Most of the people suffering ADHD as an adult have it from being a child. The untreated or unidentified ADHD disorder has left to a trail of 60% of the adults having ADHD who had it as a child. Nearly 5 % of the American adults suffer from ADHD.
